Working on Best Self Magazine’s Over 40 & Fabulous feature for the fourth consecutive year has been an absolute joy. This project goes far beyond photography—it’s about capturing the essence of remarkable individuals and showcasing their inspiring stories through carefully crafted visuals.

Designing Photos with Purpose

When planning the shoot, our focus wasn’t just on creating beautiful portraits but on delivering content with multi-platform impact. We aimed for visuals that would seamlessly adapt across print, social media, websites, newsletters, and even event promotions. Each image needed to do more than just look good—it needed to tell a story and connect emotionally with every audience it touched.

Celebrating the 2024 Honorees

This year’s Top 10 winners and Super 6 runners-up are nothing short of inspiring. Ronnel Blackmon, our 2024 cover star, brings a dynamic presence that resonates through every photo. Brandi Rhodes and Natalia Korop exemplify purpose-driven work in wellness and humanitarianism, Dr. Teri Moak has dedicated herself to breast cancer advocacy and comprehensive patient care, and each honoree's story adds depth to the feature, from personal growth to professional impact.
